Post 3/27/2020: Business Update: COVID-19

The outbreak of COVID-19 has become a global pandemic, resulting in disruptions, mandatory work-from-home orders, uncertainty in our business operations; and an increasing economic hardship for many. Adding to the confusion, critical projects with an increased scrutiny on financial parameters must have moved forward in order to maintain the stability of our nation and economy. 

 

In this time of economic uncertainty, Geopier wants you to know that we are family (we are in this together!) and our workforce is here to assist you in any matter needed to facilitate your project's ground improvement needs.

 

Our geotechnical engineering team is operating at full capacity to serve you with a network of over 70 technical sales representatives worldwide. Call or email us to discuss your project requirements - we are here to solve your soil challenges while meeting your construction schedules and providing the most economical foundation solutions to meet stringent funding requirements in these trying times.   

 

At Geopier – we work with you – for you. We lead by example and want to spread some encouragement at this time.  It is the actions that we all take today that will benefit our associates, clients and industry tomorrow.

Post: 3/17/2020: Business Update: COVID-19

With the impact of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak being felt by businesses around the world, Geopier is taking steps to prepare for the potential implications of this significant challenge. Employees are working remote and have access to all our systems, which allows us to continue serving our customers and business partners while mitigating the risk of spreading the virus. 

 

Our leadership team is meeting daily to review the situation and put into place specific measures as required.

Our current position is as follows: 

  • All Geopier associates are working remotely and have access to all systems and equipment needed to perform their daily responsibilities. 
  • Wherever possible, we are requesting online client meetings rather than face-to-face interactions.
  • We are following all government guidelines with respect to travel and social distancing. Our offices have been closed with all travel ceased.
  • We are suspending conferences and workshops until further notice.

We would like to remind our customers and business partners that we are open for all business activities while adhering to these guidelines. While some project sites are being affected, we have many that are still operating. Although we believe the actions, we have put in place are appropriate for the current levels of risk, they are in constant review. We do not currently foresee any impact on the continuity of our service. We will issue updates as the situation with COVID-19 evolves.
