Region Engineer

José LuQuin, P.E., is Geopier's Region Engineer for Eastern Tennessee and Alabama. 

Before joining Geopier, José most recently worked for Geostabilization International for 4 years. In his roles with Geostabilization, José began as a Project Engineer and was promoted four times eventually finishing his tenure as Principal Engineer and engineer of record for hundreds of design-build projects in multiple states for geohazard and rockfall mitigation, slope stability, and ground improvement projects across several markets including oil and gas, rail, dams and levees, bridges, highways, both public and private. Early in his career José spent a few years in design and management of construction of mechanically stabilized earth wall and reinforced soil slope projects for Tensar and had a short stint in geotechnical and pavement consulting.

José received his BS in civil engineering from the Georgia institute of Technology and is a registered professional engineer in several states.
