Track Subgrade RepairFor track maintenance applications, the Geopier GeoSpike℠ system is a rapidly installed, low-cost method for strengthening weak railroad track subgrades. This minimally invasive system consists of installing stiff HDPE elements between ties to transfer track loads through weak subgrade soils and into competent bearing soils. These elements can be installed without removing railroad tracks, ties, or ballast.
Slope StabilityThe Geopier SRT® an be used to stabilize slopes on existing railway embankments that experience shallow slides. The SRT system is ideal for constrained right of ways and eliminates the need for massive earthwork and site disruption.
New Railroad ConstructionGeopier Rammed Aggregate Pier® (RAP) systems can be used to strengthen soils below new tracks, embankments, and retaining walls.
